Bianca Iofiel: Strawberry Party

My cousin asked for my help in organizing her daughter's baptismal. She wants to have a candy buffet like what I did on Soleil's bday. I immediately said yes! I'm so giddy when someone asks for my help in organizing something. Theme: Strawberry.

I started working on graphic designs. Invitations, pennants, labels, tarp, etc. I wanted to make it simple yet classy. I'm not sure if I incorporated it, watcha think?!

Candy Buffet: All things strawberry! Pinks, Reds and Greens.

Here's the little cutie patooties outfit.

As usual, the candy buffet was a hit! Even the oldies can't resist it. Teehee!!!

Face Painting Dilemma

I accepted my very first paid face painting job yesterday. Honestly, I wanted to chicken out the day before the event. I was too worried that I won't be able to create nice drawings on kids' faces, it's what's been running through my mind since I woke up, I feel so anxious that I find it so hard to dress up and prepare.

It was my friend JP, (owner of Bliss Events Management) who called me and asked if I can do Face Painting for a Christmas Party. I don't know why I said yes. 1) I have no idea how to face paint 2) I have no supplies. But something inside me wants to accept it so I did. I'm a curious person, I want to try everything. I just didn't anticipate the preparation I need to do to make it happen. Too late I can't back out.

My volunteer model --Soleil.
I practiced on Elaine's face before I actually do it on the guests

I wasn't aware that I will be painting on adult's faces --not kids, which made me more fussy. I'm just glad they liked what I drew on their faces and no one got furious. What a relief!!

Guess what?? I have another face painting job on the 17th. Yay!!

Mango Tapioca

I've been craving for Mango Tapioca since last week. Naglalaway ako everytime naiisip ko yung Tapioca ni JP. I wanted to try to make it but I'm shy to ask for the recipe since business nila yun. Nakakahiya naman to ask diba!? But thanks to Google, I was able to find a recipe. And since wala naman ako business na may kinalaman sa food, I'll share it here in my blog. Super dali lang!

Here are the ingredients...

2 Ripe Mangoes (blended)
Mango Juice
Evaporated Milk
Nestle Cream (I only used half of the pack)
1/4 kl Refined Sugar
1 kl Cooked Tapioca (sago) -small

Procedure:
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients, stir until it is all mixed up. Chill then serve.

Finished Product!!! Yummmeeeh!!!

Dinner by Bliss Events

Our friends who owns an Event Planning business usually invites us for dinner at their house. There are no occasion whatsoever, they're just that generous. They always serve a complete meal with desserts! Super sulit nila magpakain. No wonder why they're business is blooming.

The first dinner they hosted was when they served Crispy Kare-kare, Pesto Pasta and Coffee Jelly. They also served cocktails after dinner. JP's Kare-kare is one of the best I've ever tasted, bagoong pa lang, ulam na! (Photos from Instagram)

Then just recently, we had a Pita night with Mixed Fruits as dessert. Everything they served us tastes so good!

They also hosted a Dessert Party but I wasn't able to come because I need to attend to Soleil's school program the next day. I'm already dreaming of JP's Mango Tapioca pa naman.

-- Anyways, if you are looking for someone to organize your event, I recommend their service. Sulit talaga ang ibabayad nyo sakanila, promise! Below are their contact details.

French French Curly Curly Thing

So my Tita, Ate and I decided to have our hair digi-permed today. We were just talking about it yesterday during dinner and Tita Bebe told us Tony & Jackey have a promo until Nov. 15. Their L'oreal package which originally costs P5,000 is now on sale for only P3,000. That's a P2,000 savings! Why not?!

We went to Tony & Jackey SM Annex branch. We were introduced to a not so very accommodating Korean lady to do our hair. I won't mention her name na.

I know how damaged my hair was, it was dry and dead. I know! They keep on insisting me to also try Kerastase treatment, I just need to add P2,500 but I don't have a budget for that, so maybe next time. They just trimmed my hair para mawala yung split ends.

They have this scalp testing machine. I'll share with you how unhealthy my scalp is. Nakakadiri!!!
See? I'm not aware I have that on my head. Yuck!
That's me with the 'alien' curling machine. Hehehe! -- Their mirror is also a monitor that lets
you surf the net. High tech!!!
Tadaaaah!!!
They offered one of their products for curl maintenance, it costs P1,800. We just bought the Curl Defining Milk from Landmark and it only cost us P100. It may not have the same effect pero pwede na din. Hahaha!

Doughnut Topper [Free Printable]

I was telling Jeff I want to buy set of school supplies to give to Soleil's classmates as her birthday treat to them because her school doesn't allow celebrating birthdays there. Jeff suggested that we give doughnuts instead, he said kids will just lose those things after few days unlike with food, mabubusog pa sila.

I'm a procrastinator! I only made this toppers the day before Soleil's birthday, so forgive me for the very simple design. I erased the label so that you can customize it. You can use this for other events too!

Soleil's 7th Birthday (Day 2) : Swimming

Let's go to the last part of the celebration, swimming! Everyone woke up early to enjoy the pool. Allow me to share it with photos...

Soleil enjoyed her swimming party and the new Lalaloopsy dolls we gave her because we know that's all she really wanted. She never asked for a bonggang party and granting her request made her 7th birthday truly memorable for her.

Soleil learned how to swim that day. Yey! She's ready to take swimming lessons next summer.
