We went to SM Baliwag after Soleil's graduation to have lunch. We wanted to try a different restaurant and aside from few fast food chains there, David's Tea House lang yung hindi namin madalas kainan. Actually, once palang kami nakakain ni Jeff dun and yung family nya hindi pa, so David's it is!
Here's what we had for lunch.
Hot Chicken Salad
Sweet & Sour Pork
Camaron Rebusado
Beef with Oyster Sauce
Shanghai Spring Roll
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Bitay meal! The food was great, pero hindi namin naubos kasi ang dami and ilan lang naman kami. The only thing I don't like about them is their service. Ang tagal before the staff went to our table to take our orders, they don't give drinks until you asked them at ang tagal din, when we asked for our bill, 48 years din bago dumating. I don't know what's taking them so long e 3 tables lang naman yung sineserve nila. Babalik ka lang talaga because of the food, kaylangan nga lang mahaba pasensya mo.

Soleil's Dinner Treat at Guilbert's Place
It was truly a hectic or may I say pig out day!? We're still full from lunch but we promised to treat my family to dinner so we had no choice.
Guilbert's Place is located in Tabang, Plaridel Bulacan. Every time we go there to eat, laging puno! Ang dami din kumakain kasi masarap naman yung food and mura lang. Hindi din pwede na wala kaming makitang kakilala na nandun din, as in lagi talagang meron! I won't make a review na about their food, as I've said, laging puno so masarap nga and isa pa, being a no food expert mostly masarap at hindi lang ang masasabi ko. Hahaha!
Here's what we ordered.
Apple and Crab Stick Salad (While others come back for their Sisig, I come back to this!)

Fishy. Nakalimutan ko kung ano tawag dito. Hehe

Half Chicken

Pork Sisig

Grilled Liempo

Laing

Soleil having a sip on her fresh buko juice.

First Chick-Boy Experience
I've always wanted to try Chick-Boy's menu, bigla nalang syang sumulpot kasi diba? And when the worm scandal came out, it made me want to try their food even more! Ang weird ko lang.
We decided to visit Bardo last Sunday after church service. There's a Chick-Boy branch on the way so we decided to have our lunch there. Finally!
They served in-house soup while we're waiting for the food.

I ordered the very controversial Ginisang Kangkong sa Bawang and luckily there's no worm in it! Haha. It costs 35php. Galit yata yung cook nila sa asin, mejyo maalat e.

I also ordered their chicken inasal na paa. Forgive me pero walang lasa! It comes with unlimited rice pero dahil hindi ko sya bet, hindi ko manlang nasulit. Mang Inasal taste so much better, nakaka 3 rice ako dun e!

Jeff had Liempo Cebu. This is the only food na medyo ok, sakto lang ang lasa.

Look at their condiment bottles, is it a coincidence or they intentionally copied it from Mang Inasal? And they also have the chicken oil! Hmmmm..

Sorry Chick-Boy lovers and loyal supporters, it's just that the food doesn't gave my taste buds the pleasure they expected. Maybe to some it's good, just not to me! Out of 10, I'll give them 6. Kanya kanyang opinyon lang.
Anyways, here's Soleil's Sunday Outfit.

The New Lanai At Kabisera
Gladys, Elaine and I met for dinner last night and syempre sa Kabisera kami. It's our favorite place to hang out and eat! The place looks more fascinating now than the last time I was there. The newly built lanai added a more home-y touch to the resto. You can tell that the owner loves antique pieces. And how it was furnished, pinag isipan talaga. I can live in there! If I were to build a house, I swear my garden would have an extension of it. The place is perfect for spending quality time with family and friends.
This afternoon, we came back to have lunch, no other customers but us so I took the opportunity to take pictures of the place. (As I promised on my first post)
Entrance

The menu is written on the blackboard, you need to walk up here to make your orders.

Veranda (right side)

I don't know what they call this area basta it's on the left side naman pag pasok. That long table is our fav spot!

I love this antique door with stained glass. (That's Elaine talking to her dad)

The Lanai. It is previously an open space with tables, now it has this.

Syempre dapat may picture ako.

Taken before our food was served.

Time to eat!

Note to our friends abroad: Sarah and Myles, When you come home, we'll bring you here. Chikahan ng walang humpay! Just like our Jack's Loft days. We miss you both!

Post Valentine's Dinner
A date with Soleil at Fortune Chinese Restaurant is Jeff and I's original plan but my siblings wanna come with us so we ended up having late dinner at Hi's : Hernz Ice Cream Specialties (pronounced as hays). It's a dessert shop but they also offer complete meal for the whole family. My siblings and nieces only ordered desserts for they already had dinner at home.
Jeff ordered Lechon Kawali (Php218) and Hi's Fried Rice (Php188). Good for 3-4 person.

I had a solo order of Spicy BBQ Spareribs (Php248). It is actually good for 2 if you are a light eater. Had to share mine with the rest. Dali ko mabusog.

Soleil and Ate ordered Banana Split (Php148). Tip: Choose the flavors you want when ordering this. They serve different set of ice cream per order. Ate didn't like what they gave her. Mas type nya yung flavors nung kay Soleil. Waffle Bowl for Sam and Casey (Php58)

Red ordered Turon Ala Mode (Php98)

Sikreto ni Ambo for Kim (Php108)

Super busog na kami ni Jeff after eating dinner kaya hindi na kami umorder ng dessert. Inubos nalang namin yung natira ni Soleil.
Some of our pictures while waiting for the food.

The Place

Me

Ang cute ng lalagyan ng bill

Kids tried the swing before going home

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give them an 8. I'm looking for a more diner feel, like those I see in the movies or at least a lil something like that. Tipong Johnny Rockets ba. Pero syempre expect pa ko, e nasa probinsya! The food is ok though, medyo natagalan nga lang before they serve. But we'll come back for sure. Their bubblegum ice cream is the best! It brings us back to our childhood, remember that cone shaped ice cream with gumball at the bottom? It taste exactly like that. Yum!

Post Birthday Dinner at Kabisera
Actually, we just don't have food at home and my sister and I are too lazy to cook so we insisted our mother to treat us at Kabisera , she don't want to handle all the expenses so I called Jeff and told him that we will eat out and he will pay half of the bill. Take note: I didn't ask him if he could share, I told him! Hahaha! Wala na sya nagawa. So I claimed it as my post birthday dinner celebration. It was also Chinese New Year!
I chose Kabisera because they have the best food at the cheapest price. Super affordable! Kabisera is located inside Alido Heights Subdivison, Malolos. Their place is quite hidden, I only discovered it through Elaine. (Super thanks to her).
I wasn't able to take a pic of the whole place because I forgot to bring the camera, we only used Red's iPhone to take pictures that night. I will on our next visit which I know will happen real soon!
Anyways, here's our few pic that night.

We ordered 3 bowls of Kabisera rice.

Kabiserang Manok
Bulalo
Pla-pla

They have the best sisig ever! I can't get enough of it. Super sarap promise!
Pakbet

Can you believe that these only cost my Mother and Jeff 1,080php? San ka pa?!
I can give you plenty of reasons why I love to dine here.
1. They give you big servings for very reasonable prices.
2. Great tasting food.
3. No food is more than 200php per serving.
4. Good old-feel ambiance with good choice of music.
5. Only few cars are passing by cos it's inside the subdivision.
6. Friendly staffs.
7. And did I mention, it's very affordable? Haha!
If you happen to be around the area, don't hesitate to give it a try.
