Face Painting Dilemma

I accepted my very first paid face painting job yesterday. Honestly, I wanted to chicken out the day before the event. I was too worried that I won't be able to create nice drawings on kids' faces, it's what's been running through my mind since I woke up, I feel so anxious that I find it so hard to dress up and prepare.

It was my friend JP, (owner of Bliss Events Management) who called me and asked if I can do Face Painting for a Christmas Party. I don't know why I said yes. 1) I have no idea how to face paint 2) I have no supplies. But something inside me wants to accept it so I did. I'm a curious person, I want to try everything. I just didn't anticipate the preparation I need to do to make it happen. Too late I can't back out.

My volunteer model --Soleil.
I practiced on Elaine's face before I actually do it on the guests

I wasn't aware that I will be painting on adult's faces --not kids, which made me more fussy. I'm just glad they liked what I drew on their faces and no one got furious. What a relief!!

Guess what?? I have another face painting job on the 17th. Yay!!

BER months are here...

ber

Whoa! Where did the past months go? I can't believe it's September now. I haven't posted anything here since May. Lots of things happened for the past 4 months that I'm very thankful for, I should have blogged about it but I'm preoccupied with other things. Busy.

Anyways, I can already smell the yuletide breeze. It's my favorite time of the year and.. and.. it's only 4 months til Christmas! Weepee!!! This year went by too fast, it seems like we just celebrated Soleil's 6th birthday yesterday and next month she is turning 7! I don't know why but I feel all positive since the first day of the month, September gave us a good start. Jeff received a good feedback from work,  Soleil is doing well in school and I'm loving my work!! I know the rest of the BER months have more good things waiting for us. I'm claiming it. Good vibes!!!

Call Me Maybe?

I love seeing unscripted videos of celebrities. I mean despite their busy schedules they still manage to spend time and have fun with their friends. And this is so cute!

Tadhana

This is the first time I watched a Wedding Proposal that I literally cried. Kinikilig ako ng bongga! Seen this many times already and I still shed a tear, especially the part when Coach Rio kneel down to ask her girlfriend to marry her. He only planned this in one week and he contemplated it very well. The soon-to-be bride's favorite band Up Dharma Down serenade her to the tune of Tadhana and played like a live background music the whole time. Who wouldn't say yes?! Love is sooo in the air!!!

Watch the video and be in love.

Who is Coach Rio Dela Cruz?
Also known as The Man with the Afro. A high-speed road runner, running coach extraordinaire and running maestro as his website would define him. First heard of him when Elaine and I joined the Run for Pasig River 10.10.10 event, then I saw him as a guest on Headstart with Karen Davila on ANC. I was inspired with how he live his life. How he did everything he can to achieve his goals by doing what he loves most, running. He is such an inspiration.
